The Solar Educational Trail

Exciting information about the sun can be found on Austria’s first solar educational trail. Over a length of 4 km, 9 display boards provide information about the solar system and its companions.
From the town centre in Mariapfarr, it takes about 2-2.5 hours to get to the Samsunn Vitality and Wellness Centre, where you can get some refreshments if desired.
The path is suitable for pushchairs and is ideal for families with children.
Each station has a number of benches that invite you to stop for a rest.

The Culture-Agriculture-Trail

Without fertile soil, no life can develop on earth. It forms the most vital basis and is responsible for many processes, including the protection of our water and climate and the preservation of biodiversity. And of course, it brings numerous delicacies to our dining tables every day. In the Lungau region, people have always been closely connected to the soil through agriculture, forestry, customs and culture.
The newly designed Culture-Agriculture-Trail is a 6 km circular walk featuring 11 informative stations. It is almost completely barrier-free and therefore pushchair-friendly. It can be explored on foot or by bicycle. In winter, too, the themed trail makes an exciting change from skiing.
Parking is available at the Nessiteich pond (Mariapfarr Resch car park next to Gasthof Neuwirt).
